Kalian Sams, Sharlon Schoop, Max Kepler injured – Estevenson Encarnacion finds new home

Posted on April 9, 2013 by philipp

Minor League season got underway with a couple of European players sidelined due to injuries. Dutch prospects Kalian Sams (Seattle Mariners, AA) and Sharlon Schoop (Kansas City Royals, AA) were placed onto the 7-day disabled list by their respective clubs. German outfielder Max Kepler (Minnesota Twins) is rehabbing an elbow injury in extended spring training, but is when healthy expected to join the Cedar Rapids Kernels at the end of April. Meanwhile recently released right-hander Estevenson Encarnacion, who played for Great Britain at the WBC Qualifier in Regensburg last September, has found a new home with the Milwaukee Brewers organization.
