The Swiss Nationalliga A got underway this weekend with two doubleheaders. Reigning champion Bern Cardinals wasn’t on the field yet, as their season openers in Embrach against the Embrach Mustangs were rained out. Meanwhile the Zurich Barracudas and the Therwil Flyers celebrated successful opening weekends. The Zurich Challengers and the Wil Devils weren’t playing this weekend. They will enter the competition in two weeks.
