29-year-old outfielder Riccardo Suardi, who won the Italian Baseball League championship in 2008 and 2011 with T&A San Marino, is leaving Telemarket Rimini to join Novara. The Lombardy native will be there on a loan contract handed out by San Marino which still owns his rights. He batted .252/.360/.378 with one home run, a triple, nine doubles, 22 runs and 23 RBI in 37 games (34 starts) for the Pirates during the 2012 season.
