Jurickson Profar now thinking about opting in for World Baseball Classic

Posted on February 8, 2013February 8, 2013 by philipp

Soon to be 20-year-old top prospect Jurickson Profar already knows how to stay in the news. Just a couple of days after stating that he isn’t playing in the World Baseball Classic so he can participate full-time at the Spring Training camp of the Texas Rangers, he told club officials that he might play for the Netherlands after all. He is quoted in media reports from Dallas that he is thinking about it and won’t make a decision until reporting to camp next week. The Dutch team still had him listed on the roster on Thursday announcing their plans for training camp in Arizona which starts this weekend. Apparently Profar had a change of heart after traveling home to Curacao. He even tweeted on Wednesday that he is excited to play with the guys he grew up.
