Posted on October 24, 2008 by philipp

Outfielder Gregory Halman of the Seattle Mariners is on the National Division roster for the Rising Stars Showcase 2008. The game, which features the 50 best players in the Arizona Fall League is scheduled for 7.15pm MST at the Surprise Stadium.

Halman is batting .282 (OBP .333/SLG .538) in ten games for Peoria Javelinas in the fall league. Six of his eleven hits went for extra bases, including one homerun. He scored ten times and drove in seven. The Haarlem-born player continues to strengthen his prospect status with his power, despite the still high amount of strikeouts (16 SO, 39 AB, 2 BB).
