British National Team crushes Cricket Squad

Posted on October 9, 2008October 9, 2008 by philipp

As reported last week, the British Baseball National Team faced a Cricket Team in an exhibition the past weekend and the event was a success. About 800 to 1000 people watched the game at the Cricket Field County Ground in Taunton and the ball players crushed the Bangers 21-1. Highlight of the game was the lone homerun on the day by Ian Young, who smacked a pitch for a grand slam. Brant Ust was the most successful hitter with four hits. Craig Pycock picked up the win. The Cricket team was reinforced by the well-known pitcher Tom Gillespie and catcher Cody Cain. Marcus Trescothik had three of the four hits for the baseball novices.
