Travis Bass stays with Solingen Alligators

Posted on November 14, 2012 by philipp

The Solingen Alligators will keep shortstop Travis Bass according to an article in a local newspaper. Shelby Robertson meanwhile won’t be coming back, as the club already has an agreement with a 23-year-old American utility player (not named yet) to strengthen the offense and wants to sign another import player to fill the role of starting pitcher in game two. Regarding their youth program, the article mentions that they won’t have a junior team in 2013 due to a lack of players in that age group. The remaining 18U players will be transferred to one of their three men’s teams, which are playing in the Bundesliga, the third division and the fourth division. Two years ago the junior team of the Alligators still had reached the German championship tournament.
