Italian Baseball and Softball Federation with Elections on Saturday

Posted on October 18, 2012October 18, 2012 by philipp

The Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) will gather for its 34th ordinary assembly in Salsomaggiore Terme (Parma) on Saturday. The biggest topic besides changes to the format of the Italian Baseball League will be the elections. Obviously the vote for the president is getting the most attention. Reigning president Riccardo Fraccari, who also heads the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), has two contenders with Claudio Carnevale and Antonino Micali, but is the heavy favorite entering the elections. In the past months Fraccari has mentioned that this would be his last term at the top of FIBS. Additionally there will be elections for committees and the executive board. The gathering starts already on Friday afternoon and the actual assembly is scheduled to start at 9.30am on Saturday. For more information visit www.fibs.it.
