Australia to give young Players a chance in Australia Series

Australia is kicking off preparations for the 2013 World Baseball Classic with an exhibition series against the Sydney Blue Sox from October 26 to 28. Manager Jon Deeble will use the so-called Australia Series to give some of Australia’s best prospects and amateur players a chance to make an impression for consideration to make the final roster for the WBC. Dushan Ruzic and Paul Mildren are players with European ties on the team. This year’s signees Robbie Perkins, Daniel McGrath and Zac Shepherd are also on the team, alongside former Major Leaguers Justin Huber and Luke Hughes.
