BSUK to showcase Baseball and Softball at SportEx Festival in Manchester

BaseballSoftballUK are pleased to announce that we will be featuring at the SportEx Festival, a weekend that will present a fantastic sporting-platform to encompass the Olympic legacy.  Showcasing national tournaments, interactive feature areas and the North’s largest sports exhibition to thousands of sport and fitness enthusiasts. The SportEx Festival will keep the Olympic legacy torch burning at Manchester’s EventCity on 20-21 October.

SportEx feature areas will offer demonstrations and are available for visitor participation & taster sessions to ensure a fun filled weekend for all.  The feature areas include; Manchester Phoenix Sledge Hockey, Crossfit 3D, University of Salford Fencing Club and BaseballSoftballUK.

In the BaseballSoftballUK area, visitors of all ages and abilities will be able to try the basics of the game of baseball and softball, as well as to speak to softball players and organisers.  You do not have to have played the game before as the feature area is for both new and experienced participants.  There will be a screen for visitors to hit a ball with a baseball or softball bat and also gloves & balls available for you to have a go at catching a ball.  There will also be information on local clubs and more opportunities to play after the SportEx Festival.  It is FREE for people to take part and try out the equipment.  BaseballSoftballUK, the Manchester Softball League and Manchester Baseball Club are excited to have the opportunity to showcase their sports at SportEx Festival.
