The Vienna Wanderers have won the 2012 Austrian Baseball League. They completed a three-game sweep in the best-of-five final series on Friday evening with an eight-inning 11-1 victory over the Diving Ducks Vienna Neustadt. It is their third title in Austrian Baseball history.

Christian Tomsich allowed just seven hits, a run and a walk, while striking out eight in a complete game win. Andrew Oberthaler scored four runs for the Wanderers. Joseph Wilson collected three hits and two runs. Felix Zimmerle drove in two.

Armin Alteneder drove in the lone Ducks run with a RBI single in the first. Clemens Cichocki took the loss, issuing six hits, eight runs (6 ER) and five walks in six innings.

The Wanderers had won 8-4 and 9-2 last weekend to open a 2-0 lead in the series.
