Germany and Manager Greg Frady will receive support from Major League Baseball on the coaching staff during the upcoming World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Regensburg, Germany. Former New York Yankees minor leaguer Justin Pope (defense), Terry Abbott (pitching coach) from the Miami Marlins and Gene Roof (outfield, base running) of the Detroit Tigers will be his assistant coaches. Current assistant’s Dirk Fries and Troy Williams will be used for scouting during the WBC Qualifier. Germany will face Canada, Great Britain and Czech Republic at the Armin-Wolf-Arena in Regensburg.
