Fans, coaches, players and the baseball community are eagerly awaiting the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Regensburg, 20-24 September. Just over a month away, final preparations are underway and the countdown has begun!

As the first World Baseball Classic event taking place on European soil, this competition will pave the way for baseball on the continent. Regensburg’s Armin-Wolf-Arena, previously home to the 2009 Baseball World Cup, now looks to captivate the crowd once more. Host country Germany will challenge Great Britain, the Czech Republic and Canada in a winner-takes-all format. The victorious nation will earn its place at the 2013 World Baseball Classic, participating in a battle to win the most exclusive baseball tournament in the world.

Time is running out to be part of this inclusive event. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.worldbaseballclassic.com, where enthusiasts can reserve seats from four different price categories, place their order with a simple online payment system and receive tickets by e-mail. General information is also accessible within the site and subscribers to the World Baseball Classic newsletter will be updated regularly. VIP packages are also available by request.

About the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Regensburg:
The World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Regensburg, Germany is a premier international event being held from 20-24 September 2012. This marks the first time in World Baseball Classic history that an event is being played on European soil. The tournament features Germany, Great Britain, the Czech Republic and Canada, all competing for one spot at the 2013 World Baseball Classic.

About the World Baseball Classic:
The World Baseball Classic is the official baseball world championship, showcasing the best players from around the world representing their national team. The next competition takes place in March 2013, following four qualification rounds in fall 2012. The winner of each qualification round will join 12 pre-qualified teams to combine for 16 total nations competing for the title.
