Posted on September 19, 2008September 19, 2008 by philipp

The second part of the semi-final round in the Austrian Baseball League takes place this weekend. The MOSQUITO ATHLETICS hope for the sweep against the SCHWAZ TIGERS after taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series with ease. With the home field advantage in mind, the people in Attnang-Puchheim likely will celebrate already on Saturday.

The second series between the VIKINGS and the WANDERERS is much closer. Each team received a victory in Kufstein last Saturday. Now they will travel to Vienna to close it out. Game three and four are scheduled for tomorrow. A potential fifth and decisive match would be played on Sunday.

Schedule:
September 20 Games three and four*:
13:00 Athletics – Tigers
14:00 Wanderers – Vikings
September 21 Game five*:
13:00 Athletics – Tigers
12:00 Wanderers – Vikings
*if necessary

Results so far:
Tigers – Athletics 3-12
Tigers – Athletics 4-11
(Athletics lead the series 2-0)

Vikings – Wanderers 7-3
Vikings – Wanderers 1-4
(Series tied at 1-1)
