Dortmund Wanderers – HSV Stealers 4-9, 14-9
The HSV Stealers secured fourth place in the northern division with a split against their challenger Dortmund Wanderers on Saturday. The 9-4 extra inning win in game one was enough for the club from Hamburg. A bases loaded walk by Brehan Murphy in the top of the ninth tied the game. Two-run singles by Gordon Shaw and Mirko Oliczewsky highlighted a five-run Stealers rally in the top of the tenth. The Wanderers had led 3-1 and 4-2 earlier in the game. In the bottom of the ninth they couldn’t get a Aljosha Heller in from third base, who had led off the frame with a triple.
Haar Disciples – Heidenheim Heidkoepfe 8-4, 9-2
The Haar Disciples captured fourth place in the south with a pair of surprise wins over unmotivated Heidenheim Heidekoepfe. They used a pair of six-run rallies to sweep the second-ranked team. Josh Petersen homered and drove in two for Haar in game one. Johannes Jung scored three times in the second match.
