Telemarket Rimini – T&A San Marino 3-7

T&A San Marino topped Telemarket Rimini 7-3 on Thursday in the Italian Baseball League. They were led by Carlos Duran who hit a go-ahead grand slam in the third and drove in five runs overall. Daniel Bittar had two RBI for the defending champion Max De Biase picked up two RBI for the Pirates. Rodney Rodriguez got the win, Francisco Cruceta the loss.

Novara United – Unipol Bologna 2-5

Unipol Bologna scored four late runs to defeat Novara United by a margin of 5-2, moving into second place in the standings. Fortitudo rode three homeruns, two by Claudio Liverziani, one by Leonardo De Donno. Jesus Matos pitched six solid innings for the win. Renny Duarte held Bologna scoreless in the first five frames, but couldn’t close it out. He ended up with the loss after 8 2/3 innings.

Danesi Nettuno – Grosseto Baseball 7-0

Danesi Nettuno shut out Grosseto Baseball easily on Thursday. They won 7-0 thanks to an early five-run rally. William Bergolla and Paolino Ambrosino combined to drive in four runs. Juan Figueroa and Santo Hernandez issued just five hits and a walk in nine scoreless innings. Michael Smith got charged with the loss.

Cariparma Parma – De Angelis Godo Knights 12-1 (7)

Cariparma Parma dispatched the De Angelis Godo Knights 12-1 in seven innings. Osman Marval went 3-for-5 with a homerun, three runs scored and two RBI. Sebastiano Poma and Luca Scalera had three RBI apiece for Parma. Jose Sanchez cruised to an easy victory, striking out six in five innings. Jose Pinango received the loss.
