FIBS nominates National Team Squad for All-Star Game

Italy’s national team manager Marco Mazzieri has nominated 25 players plus 4 guest players to play for Team Italy against the Italian Baseball League All Stars on Saturday, June 30 in Grosseto, Italy. They will use the exhibition game as part of the preparation for the European Championship in September. Italy is the defending champion at the Euros in the Netherlands.

Roster for All-Star-Team:

Pitchers: Da Silva, Cooper (San Marino); Corradini, Di Felice (Rimini); Panerati, D’Angelo, Cillo, Pugliese (Fortitudo BO); Cicatello, Grifantini, Clerici (Parma), Simone (Nettuno)

Catchers: Reginato (San Marino), Sabbatani (Bologna)

Infielders: Vaglio, Infante (Bologna), Santora (Rimini), Sgnaolin (Grosseto), Sambucci (Parma), Mazzuca (San Marino). Guests: Grimaudo, Mercuri (Nettuno), Benetti (Parma)

Outfielders: Avagnina (San Marino), Ambrosino (Nettuno), Castellitto, Ermini (Bologna). Guest: Poma (Parma)
