A matchup between Danesi Nettuno and Unipol Bologna will highlight week two of the Italian Baseball League. While Fortitudo had a perfect start into 2012 by sweeping the opening series against Cariparma Parma, Nettuno had to settle for one win in three games against Telemarket Rimini. It was a disappointing beginning for the team with high expectations.
Meanwhile the Pirates will try to resume that good play in a duel with the De Angelis Godo Knights. Defending champion T&A San Marino will host Grosseto Baseball in their home opener, building on a 3-0 record. Cariparma Parma and Novara United hope to enter victory lane in a matchup between winless clubs.
