European Softball: Cup Tournaments Upcoming

Posted on August 27, 2008 by philipp

The Softball European Cups are scheduled to start on September 1st in Prague (Czech Republic), Bollate (Italy) and Dupnista (Bulgaria). The A-Pool Cups take place in Prague (European Cup) and Bollate (Cup Winners Cup).

In 2007 the Italian teams swept both titles. AMGA LEGNANO won the Cup Winners Cup, held in Prague against the Dutch TERRASVOGELS. This year they also travel to the Czech Republic, this time for the European Cup. This event took place in Haarlem last season and also saw an Italian winner, as FIORINI FORLI won 5-2 in the finals against MOSCA MACERATA.

The B-Pool tournaments take place in Prague and in Dupnista, Bulgaria. Overall 34 teams (19 in A-Pool, 15 in B-Pool) are playing for the European crowns in Softball next week.
