From March 30 to April 1 the Dutch Hoofdklasse clubs UVV, DOOR Neptunus, Kotlarka Prague and Mannheim Tornados will play the preseason tournament Jersey53 Cup in Utrecht. UVV with new head coach Frank Koene is going to have Danny Rombley, Orlando Yntema, Kyle Ward, Ryan Murphy and Stijn van der Meer on the roster.
Neptunus will be with Baseball World Cup champions Dwayne Kemp, Diego Markwell and Shaldimar Daantji. Kotlarka Prague has signed Pat Ahearne during the winter. The Mannheim Tornados will have new starting pitchers Jan-Niclas Stoecklin and Matt Kemp on the team. It is going to be an interesting tournament. Download the attached schedule for details.
Additionally a softball tournament will be played at the UVV complex, which also is going to host the Hoofdklasse All Star Game and the European Championship this summer. UVV, Twins/Roef, DVH and the Royal Greys from Belgium will participate in the softball event.
