Former Major League hurler Kris Wilson has ended his active career. In an interview with the Italian blog BaseballMania.it he announced his retirement. The past two years he had pitched for Danesi Nettuno in the Italian Baseball League. He will dedicate his life to job opportunities in Florida. L&D Amsterdam and Telemarket Rimini tried to sign him this winter, but he decided to hang up the cleats. The 35-year-old went 14-8 with an ERA of 2.40 in 32 games for Nettuno. He collected 154 strikeouts in 195 innings, walking just 28. In Major League Baseball he had a 14-9 record with an ERA of 5.44 in 95 games between 2000 and 2006, splitting time with the Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees. He later also played briefly for the Samsung Lions in South Korea.
