Belgian Federation publishes Schedules for 2012 Season

Posted on February 26, 2012February 24, 2012 by philipp

The Belgian Baseball and Softball Federation has released the schedules for the 2012 season in Belgian baseball and softball competitions. The new year in the Belgian First Division starts on April 14 and 15 with a total of eight games. Defending champion Hoboken Pioneers will open against the promoted Antwerp Eagles. The Eagles replace the relegated Merchtem Cats in the Belgian First Division. The Borgerhout Squirrels take on vice champion Namur Angels. The Brasschaat Braves square off with the Mortsel Stars. Record title holder Royal Greys plays against the Deurne Spartans. All games will start at 3.30pm as usual. We already reported that there will be no Belgian Series at the end with the new champion determined after a four-team postseason round robin. Therefore every win and every loss early on will be even more important. Visit www.results.frbbs.be for the complete schedule.
