After four years in Grosseto, the 27-year-old right-handed pitcher Yovany D’Amico has reached an agreement with Danesi Nettuno. Born in Venezuela he has an Italian passport and therefore also can be used in the European Cup without losing a foreign player spot. The former minor leaguer in the Kansas City Royals organization was 3-4 with an ERA of 3.31 in 16 games last year. Meanwhile Nettuno’s manager Ruggero Bagialemani revealed in an article on Baseball.it that Kris Wilson left because of money. He is going to be replaced by Dirk Hayhurst, who will make €3,000 a month.
