Posted on February 5, 2012February 5, 2012 by philipp

Novara United continues to improve its roster for the upcoming season in the Italian Baseball League. Venezuelan reliever with Italian passport, Pedro Orta, is leaving Cariparma Parma after two years to move up north. In 2011 the 29-year-old didn’t have his best year in Italian baseball, going 0-2 with three saves and an ERA of 6.92 in 14 appearances (two starts). He collected 11 strikeouts and 13 walks in 26 innings. Novara already had added American starting pitcher Mitch Waters to the pitching staff this winter and confirmed Jean Toledo and Antonio Noguera.
