Pat Ahearne, Greg McCarthy not returning to AVG Draci Brno

Former big league pitchers Pat Ahearne and Greg McCarthy are not returning to the reigning Extraleague vice champion AVG Draci Brno. Ahearne had an ERA of 0.99 in 90 2/3 innings in 2011 and is now pitching in Australia. Kotlarka Prague is interested in him according to rumors from the Czech Republic. McCarthy also served as pitching coach and produced an ERA of 3.28 in 24 2/3 innings. AVG Draci lost in the finals against Technika Brno. It was the first time in 16 years that they didn’t won the title.
