A 17-year-old pitcher from Parma attended a winter training camp of the Colorado Rockies in Boca Chica, Dominican Republic for a couple of weeks. Lorenzo Gradali, who had a 4-4 record with an ERA of 5.85 in the Serie A of the Federal Championship in Italy, playing for Crocetta, was there thanks to good relationships of his coaches Cristiano Ronchini and Aldo Sassi. According to the report by Baseball.it he worked out alongside a group of 17 to 20 year old players, which are already under contract with the Rockies. He did good, receiving an invitation to return in March, which he however declined due to attending school and preparing for the new season with Crocetta.
