One of the most promising players in Italian baseball, 22-year-old infielder Alessandro Vaglio is leaving the BBC Grosseto to join Fortitudo Bologna. He joins outfielder Leonardo De Donno on the move. Vaglio’s star began to shine during the 2010 Intercontinental Cup in Taiwan, where he impressed playing for the Italian national team. He batted .247/.301/.275 with five doubles, 23 runs and 15 RBI in 42 games (41 starts).
