In the first doubleheader between ROUEN and SENART this season in the French Elite League, each team won one game. Nothing changed in the standings with the TEMPLIERS maintaining their two-game lead in first place.

The first match started with a HUSKIES rally, scoring in each of the first four innings for a 5-0 lead en route to a 5-2 victory. Kenji Hagiwara, Luc Piquet, Keino Perez, Boris Marche and Mathieu Crescent had RBIs. SENART scored their two runs in the seventh on RBIs by Andy Meurant and Evan Blesoff. Perez struck out ten in seven innings to pick up the win. Laurent Aoutin closed out the game for the save. Samuel Meurant went the distance, allowing five runs on 13 hits. He had eight strikeouts, but also hit five batters.

The TEMPLIERS got revenge in the second part of the twin bill. They scored seven runs in the second and third periods to take a 7-1 lead on their way to a 10-6 win. David Meurant put them up in front 3-1 with a two-run single. They blew the score open in the third, scoring four times. Mathieu Brelle-Andrade gave up six runs in eight-plus innings for the win. Evan Blesoff replaced him in the ninth to stop the late ROUEN rally. Giovanni Ouin lasted just two-plus innings on the mound to take the loss.

SENART and the HUSKIES complete their season series on August 24.
