Ricardo Hernandez from FC Barcelona to Danesi Nettuno

The 21-year-old Venezuelan left-handed pitcher Ricardo Hernandez is leaving the Spanish champion FC Barcelona to join the Italian vice champion Danesi Nettuno for the 2012 season. According to the report by Baseball.it other teams from the Italian Baseball League were interested as well. During the title campaign in the Division de Honor he went 15-0 with an ERA of 0.82 in 17 games (15 starts). He allowed just 59 hits in 120 2/3 innings, struck out 172 and walked 37. He had kicked off the 2011 season with a no-hit complete game shutout against the Astros Valencia, missing the perfect game by two batters (hit by pitch, error). He is currently pitching in the Venezuelan Winter League.
