Shortstop Olmo Rosario Perez of Danesi Nettuno has been suspended by the National Anti-Doping Tribunal of CONI for six months following his pair of positive doping tests. He failed doping tests in the Italian Baseball League playoffs on August 20 and September 2 due to the presence of 4-Methyl-2-Esanamina. Nettuno lost the Italian Baseball Series to T&A San Marino. Teammate Jose Escalona also was tested positive with a potential suspension still to be announced.
