The Therwil Flyers and Bern Cardinals were on collision course for the Swiss Finals all season long. The highly anticipated best-of-five series starts on Saturday and Sunday with the first two games in Therwil. During the regular season the Flyers had the Cards number, winning all four games for the sweep. But these matches came during the early part of the season, when Bern was not playing at its usual level. The defending champion hasn’t lost much since then and hopes to lift the trophy again. It is their seventh straight finals appearance.
