In the German Baseball-Bundesliga Playdowns the situation in the northern division gets interesting. Last weekend the Berlin Sluggers split a doubleheader against the Dohren Wild Farmers. Additionally they received a forfeit win from the German Baseball and Softball Federation, as the Pulheim Gophers had used three instead of the two allowed foreign players in game two of their twin bill with the Sluggers on August 27. With this decision Berlin moved into seventh place in the standings ahead of Pulheim. Both teams will meet next weekend in the German capital.
