Netherlands Women Softball Team Olympic Roster selected

After a successful three-game series against 2007 Dutch Softball champion Terrasvogels and a Holland All Stars Team, National Team Head Coach Liz Kelly announced the Netherlands Women Softball Team roster for the Olympic Games in Beijing last Monday. 15 players were selected, led by pitchers Judith van Kampen, Rebecca Soumeru and Kristi de Vries. Their opponents in Beijing are China, Canada, the USA, Japan, Venezuela, Taiwan and Australia. The Olympic tournament is scheduled to start on August 12th with the preliminary round. Before that the team will travel to Japan on July 23 for another exhibition series.
