The Greek team advanced into the finals of the qualifier with their third victory in the third game. They defeated Ireland 5-1. Ioann Apostolopoulos went one-for-three with a triple and two RBI. Panagiotis Cheilakis scored three times.

Christopher Lemonis (GRE) started and threw two no-hit innings. Nicholas Theodorou (W 1-0) picked up the win. Niall Rouen (L 0-1) allowed one hits, two runs (1 ER) and five bb in four innings to take the loss.

Russia used a seven-run sixth to beat Portugal 10-0 and to reach the finals on Saturday against Greece. Oleg Semonov got the big hit with a grand slam. Dmitry Lukin, Alexander Vasiliev and Nikita Monakhov each scored twice.

Rinat Makhmutov (W 1-0) allowed four hits and two walks in seven scoreless innings for the win. Tiago Rodrigues (L 0-1) gave up eight hits, eight runs (6 ER) and five bb in 5 1/3 innings.
