Even though the Royal Greys didn’t play this weekend due to a pair of rainouts against the Merchtem Cats, they moved back into first place in the Belgian First Division. They can thank the Deurne Spartans, which stunned the Borgerhout Squirrels with a pair of wins on Saturday and Sunday. With the sweep last year’s vice champion also kept its chance alive to make a run towards the top four in the last weeks of the regular season. Meanwhile the Namur Angels won twice against the Mortsel Stars to solidify third place in the standings. Defending champion Hoboken Pioneers improved to 13-10 with a victory over the Brasschaat Braves.
