The Bonn Capitals ended the undefeated streak of the Untouchables Paderborn on Sunday with a 6-3 win in game two of the doubleheader. In game one Paderborn had celebrated the win for their 14th straight victory. They remain in first place though in the northern division.

In the south the Mainz Athletics inaugurated their new ballpark with a pair of losses against the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe. In game one Heidenheim overcame a pair of Peter Johannessen homeruns to win 10-7. Afterwards they came back to win it 4-3 thanks to an Andrew Smith run.

The surprise of the weekend however was the 6-0 shutout by the Bad Homburg Hornets over the Mannheim Tornados. Peter Wiggins hurled a gem to stun the German record champion in game two of a split.
