Cuba announces 22-Man Roster for World Port Tournament

Nearly a month before their start into the 2011 World Port Tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands on June 24 against Curacao, Cuba has announced a 22-man roster for the international tournament, which also features teams from the Netherlands, Germany and Taiwan. Roger Machado is going to manage the team, which he already did at 12th edition in 2009. The Cuban national team will kick off preparations on Monday, May 30.

Cuban Roster for 2011 World Port Tournament:

Pitchers: Yadier Pedroso (Habana Province), Dalier Hinojosa (Guantánamo), Ismel Jiménez (Sancti Spíritus), Misael Siverio (Villa Clara), Yosvani Torres (Pinar del Río), Duniel Ibarra (Cienfuegos), Yadir Rabí (Ciego de Avila), Gerardo Concepción (Havana Industriales)

Catchers: Yenier Bello (Sancti Spíritus), Osvaldo Arias (Cienfuegos), Yulexis La Rosa (Villa Clara)

Infielders: William Saavedra (Pinar del Río), Yordanis Samón (Granma), Yolián Cerce (Guantánamo), Ramón Tamayo (Granma), Donald Duarte (Pinar del Río), Alexander Guerrero (Las Tunas), Bárbaro Erisbel Arruebarruena (Cienfuegos)
