Joris Bert (Rouen Huskies) was named WEP7. Against Stade Toulousain, the lefty outfielder hit a solid 7-for-9, with 5 runs, a double and 4 stolen bases. He also pitched a perfect inning in relief to finish game two and complete the sweep.
In the 2011 Elite championship, Joris is currently hitting .465/.581/.531 with 14 runs and 7 RBI in ten games.
He was the first French player to join a MLB organization when the Los Angeles Dodgers drafted him in 2007 at the age of 20. He played 3 seasons in the minors and then returned to the Rouen Huskies after being released.
In his career, he is batting .373 in 121 games in French Elite (best for players with at least 100 games).
