Juan Miguel Gonzalez replaces Tony Granadillo at Mr. Cocker HCAW

Posted on April 9, 2011 by philipp

We already mentioned it briefly in the team by team preview on Thursday. The Dutch Hoofdklasse club Mr. Cocker HCAW is replacing Tony Granadillo with Juan Miguel Gonzalez. The 29-year-old is joining fellow Venezuelans Dirimo Chavez and Roger Luque in Bussum. Signed by the Detroit Tigers in 1999, the infielder spent ten seasons in the Minor Leagues, playing for affiliates of the Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, Florida Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves between 2001 and 2010. Overall he batted .264/.350/.363 in 963 games, as high as Triple-A. Granadillo decided to opt out of his agreement with HCAW due to personal reasons according to the report by Honkbalsite.com.
