Results German Baseball-Bundesliga April 2&3

Posted on April 3, 2011 by philipp

The German Baseball-Bundesliga opened the 2011 season this weekend. In the south defending champion Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg overcame a five-run deficit in game one against the Haar Disciples en route to a sweep. On Sunday the Mannheim Tornados edged out two wins over the promoted Bad Homburg Hornets.

In the north the promoted Berlin Sluggers got a split in their return to the first division, winning game one of a twin bill versus the Dortmund Wanderers. The first northern-division leaders are the Pulheim Gophers, which swept their two-game set with the Dohren Wild Farmers. Additionally the Solingen Alligators and HSV Stealers split on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Rain also played hiccup with the duel between the Paderborn Untouchables and the Bonn Capitals. After the U’s picked up the win in the first match, the second had to be stopped due to rain.
