Results Spanish Division de Honor March 12&13

Posted on March 13, 2011March 13, 2011 by philipp

Defending champion CB Sant Boi moved into sole possession of first place in the Spanish Division de Honor. In week three they improved to 6-0 as the only team in the league, sweeping a two-game series against San Inazio Bilbao. On Saturday former Kansas City Royals minor league pitcher Eliezer Garcia struck out 14 batters in a two-hit shutout to inaugurate the refurbished ballpark in Bilbao. One day later William Domero and Yaeko Vazquez combined for eight hits to lead Sant Boi to the second win this weekend.

The reigning title holder also profited from the split by the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz against Baseball Navarra in Pamplona. In game one Miguel Rizo led the Marlins to a shutout in his first game back in the Division de Honor. In the second match Navarra celebrated a one-run victory. On other fields the FC Barcelona and the Astros Valencia swept their opponents at home. The twin bill between CB Viladecans and the Sevilla Red Sox got rained out.
