Results Spanish Division de Honor March 5&6

Posted on March 6, 2011March 6, 2011 by philipp

The Spanish Division de Honor continued this weekend with game day number two. Defending champion CB Sant Boi celebrated two one-run victories over Baseball Navarra to improve to 4-0. The lone other undefeated team in the league are the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz, which got two wins gift-wrapped as the Sevilla Red Sox didn’t show up for a doubleheader on Saturday.

Behind the two clubs at the top three teams follow with 3-1 records. The FC Barcelona picked up two 2-1 wins over local rival CB Viladecans. In game one Ricardo Hernandez allowed just one unearned run on one hit to lead Barca to the victory. The southpaw now has issued just one hit in 18 innings this season.

The Astros Valencia scored 32 runs in a sweep over CD Pamplona. However game one was only decided thanks to nine runs in the twelfth inning. Before that the teams had exchanged runs in each of the first seven frames, creating a unique line score. San Inazio Bilbao had to settle for the split against Halcones de Vigo. A lopsided 15-run win for Bilbao was followed by a shutout for Vigo.

Short recaps will follow on Monday evening or Tuesday morning.
