Tigers and Vikings renew local rivalry

Posted on June 7, 2008 by philipp

The Austrian Baseball League had completed the first half of the season last weekend and starts off with the return games. The two teams from Vienna, the SUPERFUND WANDERERS and the METROSTARS are on the road on Saturday and hope to reduce the gap to the top against the DORNBIRN INDIANS and the LINZ BANDITS.

On Sunday the team in first place, the UNION KUFSTEIN VIKINGS travel to Schwaz to face the TIGERS, which are in second, three games behind. The VIKINGS had won the first two games of the Tirol series in May. In the other match-up this day, the MOSQUITO ATHLETICS hope to get back on track after losing five of the last six games. They meet with the STOCK CITY CUBS.
