LONDON – Hawk Sport, the premier supplier of American sports apparel in the UK and Europe are today delighted to announce that it is be the Official Uniform Supplier to the Great Britain National Baseball Programme for 2011-2013.
The three year deal will see Hawk Sport provide playing jerseys, practice shirts, pants socks and belts to all age groups within the National Teams Programme. The Great Britain Senior baseball team, ranked 21 in the world, will get their first chance to wear the new uniforms at the European Championship qualifier in Tel Aviv, Israel in July.
For the first time the British Baseball Federation has licensed the sale of replica jerseys and other apparel to the public. Hawk Sport will be the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of Great Britain baseball uniforms which will be released at the start of the British domestic baseball season in April. Hawk Sport are committed to the grass roots development of baseball and softball in the United Kingdom and are pledging to donate a share of the sales of all Great Britain baseball merchandise back to the British Baseball Federation.
British Baseball Federation National Programmes Officer, Marty Cullen said: “We’re really excited! To have a British company provide this level of support to the GB Programme and to baseball in the UK, is phenomenal. The guys at Hawk Sport have been great and its really obvious that they share our vision. The fit couldn’t be better.”
