Presentation of the Book of Julio Pernas

Julio Pernas, President of the Real Federación Española de Béisbol y Sófbol, presents his book “Strike one: The Origins of the Baseball in Spain and other curiosities”

The last February 18th, the President of the Real Federación Española de Béisbol y Sófbol, Mr. Julio Pernas, presented in the headquarters of the Museo Olímpico Juan Antonio Samaranch in Barcelona, his book “Strike one: The Origins of the Baseball in Spain and other curiosities”, in which he explains the history of this sport in his country since the first documented game in 1901 until 1940.

Julio Pernas, President of the RFEBS since 2000, and actual Director of the Fundación Olímpica de Barcelona, has been in the sports administration for more than 25 years, both at Spanish and International level. This book is the first of a collection that will explain the complete history of baseball in Spain until nowadays.
