Posted on February 18, 2011February 18, 2011 by philipp

The Godo-Verona North East Knights have signed the 39-year-old right-hander Peter Nyari to take over as new closer for the Italian Baseball League team in the upcoming season. The American with Italian passport already pitched for Parma and San Marino in the IBL in the past. In eight years Italian Baseball he had an ERA of 4.00 in 129 games. He also wore the jersey of the Italian National Team. His career in Italy ended when he fell from the third floor of his apartment on to the top of a car in 2008, dislocating his hip. However he recovered and pitched in a league in Erie in the last two years. He is currently working out in Clearwater, Florida and apparently is still touching 90 MPH on the radar gun according to the report on Baseball.it.
