The North East Knights have announced the pitching coaches for the IBL 1 and IBL 2 teams for the upcoming season. The 31-year-old Venezuelan Rafael Lazo, who already has experiences in professional baseball including a stint with the New York Mets organization in the Dominican Summer League, is going to serve as the pitching coach for the Italian Baseball League team. However he is supposed to work with all the pitchers in the organization. Giovanna Armani will be permanently responsible for the IBL 2 squad and also is going to be the bullpen coach for the IBL 1 team when possible. She is a former Softball player and worked successfully with Dynos Verona in the past. She is going to be the first woman on a technical staff of an Italian Baseball League franchise.
