CARIPARMA prevailed in an interesting game against GROSSETO and won 4-3. Pinch hitter Ettore Finetti drove in the decisive runs in the bottom of the eighth with a two-run single into center field. Moments earlier MONTEPASCHI had take the lead through Andrea Sgnaolin’s solo-shot over the fence in left field.
GROSSETO also had opened the contest with two runs on a RBI groundout by Davide Dallospedale and a RBI single by Kelly Ramos. But PARMA cut the deficit into a half in the bottom of the first on Pascual Matos’ RBI fielder’s choice. They tied the game in the fourth on a RBI single by Michele Gerali.
Mercado allowed four hits, two runs and two walks in seven innings, starting for CARIPARMA. He was opposed by Lincoln Mikkelsen, who gave up eight hits, two runs and a base on balls in also seven innings. Josmir Romero received the win, Chris Cooper took the loss.
Danesi Nettuno – T&A San Marino 4-1

Nelson Cruz led NETTUNO to a 4-1 victory with eight brilliant innings on the mound. He gave up just two hits, one run and a walk, while striking out six. The DANESI offense delivered early in the game, scoring four runs in the first two frames.
Juan Camilo brought the first run on the board with a RBI fielder’s choice. Renato Imperali and Paolino Ambrosino added three runs through a RBI double and a two-run single in the second period. Martin Vazquez homered for SAN MARINO to avoid the shutout.
T&A starter Horacio Estrada got into a groove after the struggling start, but it was too late. He was charged with seven hits, four runs and three bb in six innings.
Telemarket Rimini – Fortitudo Bologna 0-10

FORTITUDO is winning and winning. They used 19 hits and a seven-run seventh to defeat RIMINI with a 10-0 shutout. Ryner Bautista and Giovanni Pantaleoni combined for nine hits, three runs scored and three RBI to provide a more than effective leadoff duo for BOLOGNA. Claudio Liverziani, Richard Austin and Manuel Gasparri each drove in two.
Cody Cillo dominated on the mound. The FORTITUDO starter allowed just two hits and a walk in six innings of work. Chris George closed out the contest with five strikeouts in three innings of relief. Buddy Bengel gave up eight hits, three runs and two bb in five innings for the loss.
Rangers Redipuglia – De Angelis Godo 7-12

The RANGERS still have to wait for their first victory of the season. Even against the team right in front of them in the standings, they could not win. GODO scored eight runs between the second and the fourth period and took an 8-2 lead. REDIPUGLIA rallied and brought the score to 7-9 after eight innings. But DE ANGELIS added three insurance runs in the ninth to decide the outcome definitely.
David Skrehot hit a solo homerun for GODO. Kyle Messineo had three hits and three RBI. Michael Lockwood reached base four times, scored three runs and drove in another. Danilo Sanchez and Manuel Marussich each had two RBI. BALDINELLI hit a homerun for the RANGERS. Massimiliano Sartori was three-for-four.
Ryan Baerlocher got the win after giving up five hits and four runs in six innings. Olmos took the loss. He allowed five hits, eight runs (4 ER) and two bb in 3 1/3 innings.
