Montpellier and Toulouse play for fourth place

Posted on May 30, 2008 by philipp

After rain cancelled last week’s match-up between MONTEPLLIER and CLERMONT-FERRAND, the race for fourth place in the French Elite League has not changed recently. This week the BARRACUDAS host STADE TOULOUSE. Both teams are separated by just one game with MONTPELLIER holding on the last playoff spot with a 7-7 record.

The ARVERNES also hope to get into this position, as they are facing second-ranked SAVIGNY.  The LIONS are the offensive power house of the league with 112 runs scored. However their pitching staff is a bit inconsistent, while allowing 99 runs.

At the top of the standings, the TEMPLIERS will try to defend their twelve-game winning streak at home against PARIS UC. The HUSKIES travel to La Guerche, after having off the last week.
