Austrian National Team loses two in Regensburg

Posted on May 30, 2008 by philipp

The Austrian Baseball National Team lost two exhibition games against the leader of the southern conference in the German Baseball-Bundesliga, the BUCHBINDER LEGIONAERE REGENSBURG. On Wednesday with pitchers Paul Astl, Werner Harrasser and Franz Haisjackl they lost 12-15. On Thursday Clemens Cichocki, Walter Strasser, Matthias Koppensteiner and Matthias Ploetz could not stop the LEGINOAERE offense in a 1-15 defeat.

It was the first step in the preparation of Austria in front of the European Championship Qualifiers this summer in Antwerp. REGENSBURG used these games to test a few things for the European Cup, which takes place in their venues from June 18 to 22. They will travel to the MANNHEIM TORNADOS this weekend to resume play in the Bundesliga.
